The NanoPi M1 has supported CAM500B camera ,and the driver source codes are all open, and the camera driver supports exaple focus. I donot understand why do you have another driver, and the CAM500B camera driver code is ov5640.c , you can download the source kernel to study.

oh, it means that after your compilation succeeds a uImage will be generated in the "arch/arm/boot/uImage" directory. This kernel is for HDMI 720P. You can use it to replace the existing uImage.hdmi.

Actually FriendlyELEC has supported I2S driver and proved you can use audio device. But if you want to use the device you said from adafruit maybe you need to translate the driver for it.

If you use NanoPi NEO Air you must setup the WiFi configuration by terminal, or you can use a serial cable to configure the USB WiFi configuration. Of corese you can configure the board as WiFi AP, but the board doesn't support as AP module and normal module as the same time.
