When the Neo Air is placed in a product we need a way for the user to set up its Wi-Fi settings. They will not have access to the terminal to do this. Many other devices like this start in AP mode, and serve up a web page to setup the Wi-Fi. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction to do t...
I need to make a hidden baby cam, and have audio. So think small as possible. I bought the 5MP 1080p Camera Module which works well. However now I need audio. Anyone have any recommendations on what I can use to add audio? I know I can use a USB to mic adapter but I am trying to keep this as small ...
It was originally set up. But for some reason, it's canceled. We have this feature from the day one on the new forum IIRC. Thanks! Looks like a good start. How do you get a NanoPi Neo Air into Fel mode? I would search the forum but it don't seem to have a search feature and Google didn't show anything helpful. I made you an image that works: https://dl.armbian.com/nanopiduo/nightly/Armbian_5.42.180412_Nanopiduo_Debian_stretch_dev_4.16.0.7z At least on my Duo (v1.1 1709) with powering method as follows: - module alone, powered via microUSB - with shield board, powered via FA 4PIN connector Reboot, reboots....

Hello, I was using the NanoPi Duo since first revision (v1.0 1706) of Aug-17 for development purposes. In a new delivery we got a new hardware revision of the Duo (v1.1 1709). Now the soft-reset of the installed system (newest official image 2017-12-08 version is used) is not longer working. Ubuntu...

Hi, I noticed that npi-config makes it possible to enable 4 different UARTs. In the wiki (http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPi_Duo#Diagram.2C_Layout_and_Dimension) only pins for UART0 (debug), UART1 and UART3 are documented, so I am wondering which pins are used for UART2 ? I want to c...
I've been enjoying developing on the Nanopi Duo. I do a lot of work over ssh/wifi on the device. It will work acceptably for a time, but then feed back with slow to a crawl. Sometimes it can take 30-40 seconds to echo a key press. I've tried this on a wireless network with only two devices. I've tr...
Thx a lot for the infos! Great! I still try to figure out what the best solution is to bring my custom OS that is currently running on a Core 2 to all the other Core 2 units. Currently I copy the whole Partition with the dd command to the SD-Card and then copy it back on the other Core 2 with a boo...
ok so the standard U-Boot delivered with the Core 2 has no USB support. So how can I get a "new" u-boot that is compatible with the Core 2? Andy The easy way, but I am not sure if all this is supported yet: https://www.armbian.com/nanopi-neo-plus2/ Move OS to USB and boot from eMMC https:...
For start, you need an u-boot with USB support.
I connected the TFT display (http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/Matrix_-_2%278_SPI_Key_TFT) to a NEO 2 and configured it using npi-config. Everything is great. I've got the console screen, I can get touch events and I can use USB keyboard to type. But after 5 minutes or so, the screen goes ...

Here we have troubles already with basic STA functionality. Sometimes it does not see AP and sometimes it doesn't want to connect. Slow speed is the last thing you need to worry about. I haven't tried if you are able to run dual mode. I doubt.
Hi, I want to buy NanoPi Duo and my questing is: 1. Can I attach buttons using my python code (press btn -> run cmd)? 2. Has build in WiFi two wlan? (one for connect to WiFi and second to create hotspot)? 3. Can I install MPD/MPC/ftp server/atd? (Like other linux?) 4. Is available "headless&qu...

Hello, I want to use USB ethernet with Nano Pi Neo Air. I tried build kernel module but I can't build with kernel. I attached Davicom DM9601 USB Fast Ethernet driver for Linux. As a point , when you shutdown the system , after a while , the cpu got too hot ! This "feature" should be the same on FA images. "Poweroff" is driven by http://linux-sunxi.org/AR100 and this is not very well documented feature and is not working properly on a mainline kernel ye...
Such is default (Armbian) behavior, eMMC - when installing a system (from SD card or with our flasher) it is the exact content of SD media. SD card has boot priority, then eMMC if SD not inserted/detected/bootable else error. This is the problem; my Nanopi Neo Air boots from eMMC ONLY if there are ...

Hi all, I am using this nanopi for different projects without big issues, but since I am going to need to install many boards with the same functionalities, I would like to create an already configured version of the friendly-elec (Ubuntu 16.04.3) to avoid having all the time to first flash it to e...
It was working fine in the older version of Debian, is there no way to transfer that over? This is usually a sign that something is wrong with your network. You don't have IP address or failed DNS server detection/setup.

The later version of Debian 4.14.0 is unable to initialise an EGL instance, giving a "UMP: ump_arch_open() failed to open UMP device drive" error This seems to be an error in the build rather than any kind of update I can make to it. Is it possible to fix it? This function is not yet deve...
Dear all, I have noticed that new kernel 4.11 has missed support for usb2serial converters like CH340/341 , PL2303 , FT232 ! I believe I was mistaken - apparently there is a quick current drop, and based on uptime when I log back in I think it's actually rebooting the Air. Uptime shouldn't reset when waking up from suspend, I would think. https://h3droid.com/chat-with-us Ping KotCzarny - he was playing with this tool and...

I've checked, on armbian (both debian and ubuntu) latest, for now, upgraded and so on, the result is the same. System is not going up after reboot. Thanks Igorp. Now, if I understand it correctly, do I just connect the Nano Pi with a microUSB-USB cable to my Mac? (I suppose it should give it enough horsepower to boot up).
