Power & Source of Big Ideas

On most questions, I can't answer since I am not related to FA. Beware a few things. Software and hardware development is sometimes happening in the real-time (because "we want them now" is already too late). This means things were just designed and the first prototype was made and the inf...

Hi, I'm using my T4 as servers. I would like to have them turn back on after they lost power so I dont have to turn them on after a power lost (happened twice this week...). Is there a way to set that ? Cheers It is written in the wiki but I didn't try that. http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.p...

You can't install Linux for Intel x64 hardware. Full potential can only be achieved with arm64 (aarch64) distro.

Armbian is always 64bit on 64bit capable devices.
Hi guys im a ultra noob in this, so i have some troubles...i buy a nanopi neo+nas, burn the image in SD, and all work fine for a few days, then all services shut down and never start again... so i have to re-burn the image and start all over again, i think that i need to expand all size in SD card ...

One of the main reasons why we don't provide Armbian for Raspberry Pi is because we don't want to do anything with their typical user base. RPi is a toy and you have no real use case.

Hardware makers have more troubles and have to live with this.
I thought on buying this T4 but now after reading these comments, I might hold back. I was thinking of buying and doing dual boot of desktop os (Ubuntu/Lubuntu/etc) and Android, between SD card and emcc. I also thinking of connecting ESP8266 to do the dual boot selection (set high/low on the BOOT s...

Probably not since Dietpi is official image + BASH script.

This will work:

FriendlyARM doesn't provide support for Dietpi. That is official - check the wiki.

Current Armbian has enabled hugepages and all other Docker dependencies ... it this is for Docker.

It something is missing, you can recreate the image or kernel in no time.
Since there's been 2 days between my question and its publication. I found the solution for both myself. Building a kernel is part of the documentation wiki : http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPC-T4#Compile_Lubuntu_Kernel . It's easy enough as the end product is the kernel.img file to ...
Armbian has support for this chip as well. You can try building T3 ,T3+, M3, Fire3 ... most of the things work.

Use parameter EXPERT="yes" to get access to those boards - they are still officially WIP.
