I just received my HY-MICRO STM32 board with HY32D 3.2" LCD/w touch screen today.
When initially connected to a PC for power through the USB, the demo came up and worked fine. I even took pictures to post to my Google+ account. I disconnected it from the USB, and reconnected it, the LCD is now dead. It lights up, all white, but when I press the KeyA and RST and monitor the serial output, it says the LCD has an error. The whole time I was very careful about ESD and made sure I was grounded.
I have tried re-seatting the LCD board wthout any change. I really hope I didn't waste my money. I was really hoping to port CooCox CoOS and/or BeRTOS to this board for my solder reflow oven project.

and let me know the results.
Permalink Reply by Freeman Pascal on October 14, 2011 at 9:23am The HY-MiniSTM32V LCD board started working when I plugged it in tonight. No flashing necessary. The original firmware with the GUI demo just started working.
The next thing I did was make a back up of the original demo firmware, using stm32flash under Linux. Since then I have loaded and ran all the demo that had hex files to flash.
I don't know why it failed last night and now is working again. Not having an explanation means it could happen again. I'll let you know if I run into any problems.
Thank you.
