Power & Source of Big Ideas

Hi! I just bought 2 nano pi neo 2 1gb ram, with wifi adapters. I'm a raspberry user, running on Windows. I used etcher to burn the Ubuntucore proposed by the wiki, plugged the sd in the slot, started with the dongle. Ok, I get it it won't work that way. So I stopped it, plugged my serial to usb don...
Updated Armbian images v5.49 for K2. Default with kernel 4.14.52, next with 4.17.3 and DEV with 4.18.RC ... all kernels received latest possible fixes ... best to go with 4.14.y for now, while on later you might experience occasional boot troubles. Debian Stretch, Bionic is still too buggy ... https...
How can I mount NFS share form NAS to nanoPi NEO. As I can see, there is no nfs client in Ubuntu Xenial distro. Probably I have to install something from repo. Any idea? https://www.google.com/search?q=mount+nfs+share+ubuntu = https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-an-nfs-mo...
New to embedded Linux, as I said. In general.Yocto or Buildroot are different, more complex build engines. You will need to invest a lot more time to get going ... Armbian is good for most general purpose cases, where you don't need deep control over packages/subsystems. It really depends on your s...
I now have tried git clone https://github.com/friendlyarm/h3_lichee.git lichee To copy the source for Nanopi but I can not find what directory I should make my build link point to. Anyway Im not sure if this is the same source as my build anyway. I do not seam to be getting any closer to solving th...
how do I go about the development process? How do I include my apps in the image? Armbain is more or less plain Debian/Ubuntu so you can do all application testing in x86 virtual machines (I also do that way). When you are done, use this: https://docs.armbian.com/Developer-Guide_User-Configurations...
I'm looking for some tips for development with FriendlyCore for the NanoPi NEO Core2-LTS. I don't have too much experience deploying embedded Linux, so my very basic (and rather generic) question is: what should my workflow be? How do I cross-compile custom applications for the processor on my (Ubu...

Usually with nand-sata-install ... but since we haven't added this board to the officially supported list, can't tell for sure. It's not tested.
That I don't know. I actually don't use this tool. I only try it once.

I assume it just searches in your subnet, from 1-255

I have Ubuntu 16.04.4 LTS 4.14.0 running on NanoPI NEO Air. I have the CAM500B camera module. Any chance to get this running on this kernel? Alternatively, is there a camera module (DVP or USB) running on this kernel? Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. I got stuck on this and don't want...
Hi to all. I have 50 pcs of nano pi neo 1.3.1 with scheduled a reboot command every 6 hours. At reboot the operating system does not start from sdcard, but stopping at "TRY TO BOOT FROM MMC1." The only way to start the O.S. normally is to disconnect the power supply (turn off and turn on ...
The "bare metal" section in the Raspberry Pi forum can give you some ideas on how-to program an ARM CPU. But for programming the Allwinner SoC we need to have details on how to create a startup.S (or similar). The ideal option is not using the U-Boot loader and have our own 'bare metal' l...
Hi, I'm New under Lubuntu and Nano PC-T3 Plus. I never used Linux before. So, I followed the wiki page of the nano pc t3 plus http://wiki.friendlyarm.com/wiki/index.php/NanoPC-T3_Plus because android was installed by default, so I tried to flash Lubuntu with eFlasher with this file : s5p6818-eflash...

When the Neo Air is placed in a product we need a way for the user to set up its Wi-Fi settings. They will not have access to the terminal to do this. Many other devices like this start in AP mode, and serve up a web page to setup the Wi-Fi. Would anyone be able to point me in the direction to do t...
I need to make a hidden baby cam, and have audio. So think small as possible. I bought the 5MP 1080p Camera Module which works well. However now I need audio. It was originally set up. But for some reason, it's canceled. We have this feature from the day one on the new forum IIRC. Here we have troubles already with basic STA functionality. Sometimes it does not see AP and sometimes it doesn't want to connect. Slow speed is the last thing you need to worry about. I haven't tried if you are able to run dual mode. I doubt.
