Power & Source of Big Ideas

Probably voltage drop from current spike while HDD's spin-on causes problems with boot. Try to separate power source for HDD's and for NanoPi
Hi, I have similar NAS baset at NanoPi & Sata Hat and here some info from my "research": ⋅ SATA HAT using Marvell 88SE9215 chipset. Not sure, but i think, this chipset supports staggered spinup. ⋅ Not sure about S-S support at HDD's. ⋅ maybe only kernel/SA...
Hello, M4v2 is a nice piece of hardware. On this board I'm actually running my NAS and Smart Home server. How about media center for TV? I'm searching web, but LibreELEC doesn't support M4 and all other projects looks like dead. And without HW video decoding support it's pointless. Or someone know h...
Right now i'm finishing my own NanoPi NAS. My components: NanoPi M4v2 4GB 32GB eMMC SATA HAT Full aluminium case from AliExpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000863280612.html) Hot swap trays from Aliexpress Some self-designed 3d printed parts Lot of small things (connectors, wires, screws, but...
Hello, a little bit weird question: is possible, to use SATA HAT with ribbon cable? Because low profile case, i cannot use original stack. SATA HAT using Marvell 88SE9215 Chipset. In datasheet is info about power consumption up to 1W... But SATA HAT (without drives) consume much more. I think - something is wrong in HAT design... I need to add small fan too  Is here some way, how to drive this fan speed to make them: * less ...
Because 4GB variant doesn't cost $50. M4V2 cost $70, but M4 4GB was for $75.
Hi,
I had same problem - no HDMI output, only solid red & twice flashing green LED.
Lot of of iso files - still same. Then I changed power supply - from modern 20W power supply with fast charge support to old 5V@2A charger and voila! Its works!

Maybe can help for someone ;)
