Installed rk3399-sd-friendlydesktop-bionic-4.4-arm64-20190718.img. apt update followed by apt upgrade starts upgrading lots of packages and fails part way through and reboot won't work needing a reinstall of the img on the uSD card. It seems there is a difference...

Ever since I installed Ubuntu on Fire 3 the 7" HDMI screen display was fine.
Recently it suddenly changed so I only get a bright display so nothing is readable.

It's possibly a hardware problem but I would like to see what the settings are over a ssh connection.
I tried s5p6818-friendly-core-xenial-4.4-arm64-20180228.img but Xorg ends up as a zombie task. Went back to the original microSD card with s5p6818-friendly-core-xenial-4.4-arm64-20180209.img installed. Still getting a white screen with Xorg up and running. Over an ssh login "init 3" follow...
